Backstory: As a Bunker pore, I took out student loans to help pay for college. Like most young adults, my credit sucked, so my father co-signed. Fast forward to present day, and I have not missed a payment on my loans, and my credit score reflects this, yet my father's credit report shows I have missed numerous payments and his scores are suffering because of this.
I contacted Navient (the company I have my loans with), and they said my loans are not showing a co-signer (maybe when my loans switched from Sallie Mae to Navient my father was removed?), so I have filed a dispute with the credit bureaus.
So has anyone else filed a dispute, and how swift was the ruling? Side question, if the dispute does not go my way, what other steps can I take?
