My wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. It is kicking my butt...much worse than the previous version I got a couple of years ago. Just curious if anyone else has had the same experience.
Our experience a couple weeks ago was similar. Wife and I had bad body aches for 24-48 hrs and some sinus/cold symptoms a lil longer then low energy to end. About a week total but not too bad. Kids barely blinked an eye at it.My wife had it a couple weeks ago. She was only symptomatic for a few days & thankfully none of the rest of our house got it.
Had it two months ago. I travel so I had the shots. First time I had it was easy. Lasted two or three days. The second or last time was like you say. Kicked my butt I had no energy for a few weeks. New strains I guess but it was much like type A fluMy wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. I didn't know COVID was still a thing.Yeah. We used to call them allergies. Silly us.
I think I do right nowMy wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. It is kicking my butt...much worse than the previous version I got a couple of years ago. Just curious if anyone else has had the same experience.
You should be tested so you can isolate if you are positive and not spread it.I have something but I am not sure what it is.
Feels like a nasty head cold but ??
I got the most recent Moderna shot 3 weeks ago so maybe it if it is covid I will be fine.

There are Covid tests!Never had the old COVID as far as I know....
Didn't know there was a "new COVID"
Is that an actual thing or we just calling anything flu like COVID now?
It continues to have major mutations about 2-4x per year resulting in waves. This recent one was pretty widespread. Thankfully a lot of these mutations (plus immunity from vaccines and infections) have weakened it significantly. Much more in line with flu as far as mortality figures now.Never had the old COVID as far as I know....

I had it first of August.. only had symptoms for like 48 hours. Felt tired for a few days after that. All and all not as bad as the other time I had it. I only got the original shot for work. No boostersMy wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. It is kicking my butt...much worse than the previous version I got a couple of years ago. PAPA BARE,I plan to as soon as I can go to the CVS drive through. Started to feel like poop at 4 am today. Been up since then,
Have not felt like leaving the house. Only place I was supposed to go in the next few days was Athens.
Should I still go @stutsman23

One of my daughters got it during rush week at Auburn. It was pretty mild for her - low grade fever, cold like symptoms, felt really tired for a couple of days. But then the fever was gone and she felt fine after that.My wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. Had covid back in early August. Very mild. But all the times I’ve had it have been pretty unremarkable to be honest.
We need you in Athens PB. All those dumbasses who bark are already infected with way worse than Covid. All should be well.I plan to as soon as I can go to the CVS drive through. Started to feel like poop at 4 am today. Been up since then,

CJ I recommend doing the quick test. That is how I started out, and I ended up spreading it to my son who is now suffering alsoI have something but I am not sure what it is.

Are people really still testing for Covid? Crazy how basically nobody gets the Influenza anymore. My wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. I had been traveling to help out family. I threw up and had really bad aches the last night in the hotel. My mom had it a few days earlier so I took a home test to make sure and it was positiveHow did you know it was COVID?
I typically don't test for very mild and unremarkable symptoms.
21,000 people died from the flu in the 2022-2023 flu season, dumbassAre people really still testing for Covid? Crazy how basically nobody gets the Influenza anymore.

not a vaccine - it is an injection.I am curious though about the latest booster. My wife and I got the original two-part Pfizer vaccine when it came out. Then we got the first booster several months later. But I haven't gotten a booster since then because the mutations weren't significant enough and they were mostly recommending them for older people and the immune-compromised. It's been suggested that the new strain seems to be hitting harder for a lot of people so this latest booster is recommended for more people.
Every time I've gotten the vaccine or a booster, it waylaid me for about 12-18 hours, then I was fine. But that's non-fun obviously.
My question is, for those of you who had a similar reaction to the vaccine as me and have gotten the latest booster - did it kick your butt like the others or was your reaction milder?

A quick public service announcement: My wife tested positive last Thursday when we were in Michigan visiting my son. She isolated immediately (couldn't isolate from me, we were in hotel). My son and I both tested Friday and Saturday and were both negative. I started feeling really bad Sunday and re-tested--this time positive. My son tested positive the next day.My wife and I have been suffering from this new version for almost a week. Got to improve the Influenza "vaccine" then.21,000 people died from the flu in the 2022-2023 flu season, dumbass
