Trump Again Shuts Down Talk Of Another Debate
Attempting to spin his dismal debate performance as a win, Trump said Wednesday he won’t entertain another debate because he believes he did so well last night.“When a Fighter gets beaten or knocked out, they get up and scream, ‘I DEMAND A REMATCH, I DEMAND A REMATCH!’” Trump wrote in a social media post, comparing the debate to a UFC fight. “Well, it’s no different with a Debate.”
Trump asserted that Harris “was beaten badly last night” and dismissed any possibility of a second debate.
“Every Poll has us WINNING, in one case, 92-8, so why would I do a Rematch?” he wrote. It’s unclear what polling shows him up 92-8.
Harris’ campaign, meanwhile, seems more than happy to entertain a sequel.
“That was fun,” Brian Fallon, Harris' communications director, said at the debate's conclusion. “Let’s do it again in October."
