First of all, Trump spent much more time the last month talking about ISSUES than did Hillary, or her surrogates, including POTUS. The last week, every single speech I heard from your side was somehow about the KKK. Yes, in 2016, The KKK was the major Democrat issue in the campaign, all the while the Ds were claiming to be the Uniters and not the Dividers. Hilarious, if it wasn't so disgusting.
When they weren't talking about the KKK, they were talking about (and bringing out) Alicia Machado, the wheel woman in a Murder, who was allegedly called Fat - because she got Fat, after breaking her contract winning a contest based on Not Being Fat.
The entire campaign theme, and the focus of almost all of Hillary's commercials, has been the mistreatment of women. Again, disgusting amounts of hypocrisy, considering her husband's long history, and her part, and her surrogates parts, in villifying his victims.
Which, again, is especially rich, in that YOU, team Clinton, were told, and dutifully fell in line 18 years ago, that it was "just sex" and that it was Private behavior, and it had no bearing on the public duties of the POTUS, and any lies about sex could be justified because of wanting to keep that private, and spare his loved ones feelings, and "how dare they try to embarrass his family like that". We needed to MOVE ON from the Clinton Sex Scandals, and would have done so if we weren't creepy repressed pervs obsessed with another mans sex life. I heard this hundreds if not thousands of times, and MoveOn.org got it's very name from this. And now, when it is convenient, you built an entire campaign on the very opposite proposition. Literally ZERO credibility in your side's protestations about Trump's conduct, most of which I believe happened.
And Clinton Fatigue is and was real. Yes, she has been dogged by scandals for 25 years. And, no, it wasn't all because of a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. The Clintons are by far the most corrupt individuals ever to appear on our national political scene. Our system is not designed and indeed cannot survive someone so vile and corrupt being put in power with no consequences for their actions. We are supposed to Impeach someone for high crimes and misdemeanors. She is actually guilty of a lengthy list of FELONIES, and is indeed guilty of Treason itself, whether it is actually selling out our very National Security for campaign donations, to disregarding numerous rules, regulations, briefings, and explicit warnings about how to safeguard intelligence she was entrusted with because she did not feel like complying, and was indeed more interested in hiding her conduct in office from Congress than in protecting our security. Character Actually Matters. And hers was worse.
The fact that so many of you were eager to dismiss that and explain it away out of pure partisan fcvkery is also incredibly disgusting. I hope some of you take a long look in the mirror.

So, other than being corrupt, dishonest, and hypocritical, she was also just plain horrible at politics, wildly veering to the left or right depending on the prevailing winds and the particular audience, and privately (until leaked) explaining the need for both a Private and a Public stance on every issue. No wonder Bernie voters deserted her in droves. Who could be loyal to her, other than those who had a financial stake in the graft?

As bad of a candidate as the Rs managed to put up, possibly the worst in the history of the party, maybe 2nd all time to US Grant, who, to be fair, the press of the time was not likely to "vet" aggressively - the fact remains that you chose a worse candidate than that buffoon. Mostly because of mindless and poisonous Identity Politics (Vote for the Ovaries!), and partly because of the Celebrity Factor.
Lastly, the Celebrity Factor. It is indeed ironic that the Democrat Party, which has spent 30 years cultivating this mindless infiltration of Pop Culture and Celebrity Worship into politics, trotting out musicians and actors to endorse candidates and policies, to champion causes and initiatives, indeed to give "expert" testimony before Congress and The UN - and to build up a Cult of Personality behind Obama or Bill Clinton or whoever the "cool" flavor of the month is/was (going back to Kennedy!)- was outdone by the bigger and better known reality TV star. When Celebrity is the currency of the day, and all publicity is good publicity, especially over the long haul, and you have conditioned your electorate to value that over actual accomplishment, you'll find that you can't demonize a relative unknown blank slate like you did to Romney, and will eventually have the monster you have created turn on you. And that is exactly what just happened.
