Am I the only one who struggles with this…

I had some oral surgery on Friday but it kind of applies to any surgery I’ve ever had.
I constantly struggle with deciding between dealing with the pain or dealing with the funk brought on by the pain meds.

Does anyone else struggle with that decision?
