That was two really good teams that went at each other in a very entertaining game. Nate Oats made great adjustments from the first game and then I thought our staff made the correct counters for the second half. Both sides made big plays when they needed them and we were one play short. Tough loss today.

I thought we were very good offensively today, especially down the stretch. We saw some new action setting flares for Miles and some stuff to get Tahaad some threes. It all looked good, but sometimes those shots didn't drop. I hope we continue to run action for those guys and i love that we are still unveling new sets. I feel like we created for teammates much more than recently and 24 assists should get you a win. I do wish we would push the ball in transition more, but that was possibly a function of the staff wanting to keep the pace down a tad. We missed some ft's that you'd like to have and Broome missed a couple leaners in the middle of the lane late that he usually hits. All in all, good offensive performance.

We were bad defensively in College Station. We were better tonight, but not at the level you'd want. We did great with Sears and that was a big deal, but Philon, YB, and Nelson lived in the lane. Alabama is elite offensively so give them some credit. I just think we should be better at staying in front of the ball. That is the key to the whole thing. Can we keep the ball out of the lane and force contested jumpshots? I would also like to see Johni play a little looser at the rim. It looks like someone told him he can't be in foul trouble and he's out there matadoring drivers. He needs to block some shots.

I've defended Chad for two years, but hard to defend him today. He just had that look that was going to do something stupid today and he delivered. It's disappointing, but not as disappointing as a bunch of grown men piling on a kid for a mistake. He helped get us to this point and the bottom line is you are going to have to accept the good with the bad. He was an idiot today, but there will be a game soon where he is brilliant. Welcome to coaching children.

Anyone who thought winning a national championship would be easy, is crazy. This season has been one of those charmed years and more often than not we've gotten the bounces to go our way. They did not today. I can think of about four instances today where they were the beneficiary of some strange bounces. That is basketball. We have all the pieces to get to the Final Four and take this whole thing down. I hope today's loss was a catalyst to achieving that goal. I think we're going to be fine for what it's worth.
