Steven kicked off practice by speaking to the team about some logistics and plans for the day. They broke up for 3 point shooting drills that were timed, then came back together for a players only prayer. They broke up and did a little running and defensive drill up and down the court. Bruce then led them through about 45 minutes of 5 on 5 halfcourt where he called out plays and the team ran through each. Then, they left to watch film. General observations...The team was loose and vocal. They were seldom corrected by the coaches, I'm sure due to having such a Senior laden team. Johni and CBM sat out practice. Neither looked like they were really hurting, just trying to make sure they're as healthy as possible come Saturday. Johni is thick from head to toe, CBM is a bean pole, not an ounce of fat on him. Team leaves this afternoon for San Antonio. I feel like they'll be ready and give FL all they want. IMO we're going to have to play great defense and hit 3s at a higher clip to come out on top. Huge challenge, but these guys are fully capable. Let's take it all this time. WDE!
This is one massive human being.
Silent assassin. We're going to need him to shoot better than he has to this point in the tournament this weekend IMO.
Best freshman in the country? I think so. He and J. Howard were shooting 3s together. Both rarely missed. I was VERY impressed with Howard's shooting. Hope he sticks.
THE MAN! We'd still be wallowing in the muck of mediocrity without him.
