I don’t know the rules on how many you can take, but I believe it’s as many as you want (Texas State went all portal recruits last year IIRC)
I believe the number the NCAA has approved is 32 “signees.” We all know we need good HS recruits and we all know this high character 3 and 4 star plan working in the SEC West is questionable at best
But looking at next years team…. at this point you have to assume these jobs are safe
QB Bo Nix (unless something great like Burrow is available)
RBs Tank and Hunter
TE seems fine
Likely pencil in Zierer and K. Jones at 2 of the OL spots
So offensively, we probably need at minimum 2-3 WR and 3 OL. And then from there it’s a “best available” situation. If we see someone we think is better than what we’ve got, we try to get them

Need 1-2 DT
Probably a couple LB as we potentially lose 3 guys there
Probably a couple DBs as well
This would put us at around 12 portal needs and 20 HS recruits
