With (1) Bubba Pettway transitioning into a beastmode RB, (2) Kerryon being a star in the making, (3) Stanton Truitt emerging as an explosive hybrid/speed back, (4) Kam Martin and the 6'1 210'ish (5) Octavius Matthews coming in, we move Malik Miller to HB in order fill the void at HB left by Pettway and make room for the two incoming stud RBs (Devan Barrett & Alaric Williams).

Despite his best efforts, Miller was always best suited for HB imo. This will give him the opportunity to understudy to Cox for a couple years before stepping into the starting role, while still allowing us luxury of redshirting one of the two tFR backs (Barrett / Williams).

I think, originally, the idea of recruiting Octavius Matthews was obvious, but then the landscape changed (Pettway being an absolute beast powerback). Then it changed some more (Truitt healthy and weaponized at RB).

In short, seeing as how Miller is out rehabbing anyway, let's go ahead and rebuild him into the HB he was meant to be and go into 2017 with a deep, diverse and talented pool of RBs along with Cox (JR) and Miller (Soph) at HB.

Thoughts?

Note: Miller was 240+ before cutting weight in an effort to prove he could play RB. That's his natural weight.
