TIME TO DISPEL SOME MYTHS
-obvious weaknesses = FOUL RATE + 3PT shooting . biggest offenders = cardwell, kessler, jwill, jasper (for fouls). 3pt shooting (factoring in 3pt rate)= cambridge (14.% shooter with 45.8% of shots as 3s), zep (29% shooter with 60% (!!!) shots as 3s), wendell and flanny(taking the lowest % amount of 3s out of the starting 5 besides kessler)
-people seem to keep harping on starting cambridge over flanny but it doesnt seem like theres much difference between either based on player rating. flanny gets maybe 4 more minutes per game? but thats cause hes a better defender and bruce is biased towards that. cambridges 3pt shooting is worse than kessler yet he still takes way too many shots from 3 based on conference play. both players have obvious strenghts (cambridge with offensive rebounds + low turnovers, flanny with defense + 2pt% which is actually pretty high percentile + shot selection) both have obvious weaknesses (cambridge 3pt shooting +shot selection, flanny with turnover rate + low rebounding numbers for his position). its staffs problem on how to get the best out of both of them around march.
TLDR: you can bench flanny but you get same production outta cambridge, best to work through the slump
