After the quick arrest and the amount of time that has passed since I was 99% sure this would be the outcome. So sad.
The new arrestee surely gave up the information for a lesser charge. Hopefully the lesser charge still results in an “under the jail” sentence.
Pliers and a hacksaw and I could do wonders on his ass. Drag it out for a couple weeks.
This is how one father took care of a man who did bad things to his child.

Very sad. It's better than the sex trafficking scenario though. In that one she has to live that life for several years and then is killed. Hopefully her family can at least know that she isn't suffering anymore. They can have closure.
He was given a 7 year suspended sentence and 300 hours of community service for that.
I think it would be hard for a jury to send a father to prison for doing something like that. It would be hard for me if I was on a jury.

If it were mine I'd have done the same thing. I would get square with that suspended sentence, too. I'd probably have to sit a while.
5 years probation and no jail time seems like a little much but i am happy the courts realized what happened.
My brother went through this same nightmare in 1991. It was a terrible experience for the entire family. Prayers for her family but yes it is better than never knowing for sure.
I don’t know. He did murder someone even if it was a scumbag who molested his son. I fully condone what the father did and understand why he did it but not doing prison time after murdering someone who was handcuffed, in police custody, in the middle of an airport and caught on camera seems like a good deal.

He is. All kind of things could have gone wrong but fortunately it all ended well.
To have the presence of mind to be at the pay phone - which is an absolutely brilliant place to “hide” - and shoot a moving target (not moving fast but still moving) at not the easiest angle and be so quick that nobody can stop you OR warn the target to make a defensive move for cover AND still make one shot for the kill shot, methinks he had some experience with firearms before. If not, all the more impressive.

I have to admit I wasn’t concerned in the beginning but after seeing that guy today try to kidnap that 13 year old in a store with her mother I will have my daughter carrying!!! This very easily could have been her and it scares the **** out of me she is my world!!!!!

Another person was arrested today. How many were involved in this. This case is also a reminder to all...if you see something that appears to be questionable or outright wrong, please report it. It may not be fun, it may not be easy, but you may save a life. There was a witness the night this young woman was abducted. If he had only called and reported what he had seen, she might be home with her parents.
This story has been heart-breaking since the first report. My prayers are with the family and friends.

Well said. There are monsters in our society that take advantage of the most vulnerable. Its up to us to take care of one another, and step in when someone is harming someone that cant defend themself. Tears your gut out to know how close she could have been to being saved.
And that pond scum will sit in jail for 20-25 years before execution. I saw today on ID a man on death row 26 years for killing a girl about Aniah’s age. They interviewed the victims father and he’s old now. He said the killer will probably outlive him. Outrageous
