Writing from the car in traffic so this will be on the brief side by my standards. That was as impressive of a regular season win as we’ll ever see. Against an elite team in a rivalry game, we nearly ran them out of the gym early, let them retake the lead, and then wrecked them the rest of the way. I can’t recall a time we’ve ever been up double digits in half, blown the lead and then finished up double digits. Second half was extremely impressive. Completely controlled the game and never let them get closer than 12. So proud of our guys for playing their best game of the year in the biggest game of the night with extra national attention on it being a rivalry. The arena was absolutely electric. Amazing to be part of the best home court in the country.

Johni was unstoppable tonight. Totally dominant on both ends of the floor with 24 points and 5 blocks. Almost all of his misses he was mauled. Probably should have had 8-10 more FTs. Johni said this one would be personal after the win in Oxford and he delivered.

Jaylin was equally dominant as the other half of the 4/5 duo that delivered 50 points. No team in the country has a better front court than us.

Tre was fantastic tonight. 14 points and he’s emerged as the strong side of our PG rotation. Loved how aggressive he was attacking the basket with a lead tonight. That’s a great recipe for success given how great he is at the line.

Past the halfway mark in SEC play and we’re tied for first. Every goal is in reach. Can’t wait to see what this team can do the rest of the way.
