Thinking about taking the kids (6 & 8) to the Smokey Mountains for their fall break in October. I'm only familiar with Ashville and the Nantahala river area, and it's been a few years for both places. Any recs on cabins, hotels, etc as well as things to do with young kids? My son loves trains so the GSM railroad day trip is on our list. Open to any other suggestions.
