My eldest nephew, Tyler, had planned to attend JSU for two years and transfer to AU for his final two years. He decided to stay at JSU as he had become quite involved with various student organizations. He has served as President of Freshman Forum, Clerk of the Student Senate, and Vice President of the Student Senate prior to running unopposed for President of the Student Government Association. Not bad for a kid from Beulah, Alabama. And it pretty much pays for his senior year of college, which is quite awesome!
His little brother, Trevor, just competed at the Bassmaster High School Southern Regionals last month on Lake Martin and earned a spot in the Bassmaster High School National Championship in Perry, Tennessee (Lake Kentucky) in July. Granted, it is only fishing, but no one in the family has ever made it to that level of a sporting competition.
