Here's a little story from South Africa. Granted this snake is on the tee box, but it emerged from the rough after a Mongoose was chasing it.

Also, it was either on this board or TOS that I read a post about somebody who had just returned from Malaysia golfing and they're playing partner had gone into the rough looking for a golf ball and the caddies were horrified. The reason for their horror was a 8 ft cobra have been found in there the previous week. I wish I had pictures of that one too.
