Maybe I missed something in the story just posted, but our coach didn't actually say he had been
vaccinated, did he? Has he ever said one way or the other?

And as to this quote: "I am not anti-vaccine," he said. "Any narrative along that lines is misinformed. I fully support the choice for anyone to vaccinate." Well, just because a person supports other's right to choose doesn't mean a person isn't anti-vaccine. An 'anti-vaccer' is one who is resistant or opposed to vaccines....for himself. Even 'anti-
vaccers' afford others the right to choose.

Pretty sure saying “I’m not anti-vaccine” means he’s not anti-vaccine.

You have no idea what he is… nor does he owe you or anyone his status..

It’s a simple question…

do you think the Head football coach has a right / obligation to force his players to be vaccinated…. OR should he treat them like adults and human beings first and let them make their own decisions?

I feel like your answers are going to be along the same lines as forced vaccinations and passports vs freedom of choice and personal responsibility..

From Merriam-Webster

anti-vaxxer

an·ti-vax·xer | \ ˌan-tē-ˈvak-sər , ˌan-ˌtī- \
plural anti-vaxxers

Definition of anti-vaxxer

: a person who opposes vaccination or laws that mandate vaccination

Do you still see him as an anti-vaxxer? Do you believe he's never been vaccinated as an adult?

You can agree or disagree with his stance on this one, but I wouldn't automatically label him anti-vaxx even if he's not gotten the COVID vaccine.

Someone who does not trust the CoVid vaccine does not mean they are an “anti vaxer”.. that is not remotely accurate..

I might be in the minority here....but I couldn't care less if he is vaccinated or not. I care more about whether he like mayo or not.
Will you care if we have to forfeit a game? If we have to have key contributors miss games because of false positives the day before a game?

If he isn't vaccinated, he isn't going to be able to successfully get the players vaccinated over the threshold that we need to get to. That greatly increases the risk of an outcome that nobody wants to see. It's all avoidable, but that's where we are.

This. I'm much more interested in results on the field than continuing to buy into and sell fear porn. It sounds like he has a cold, same symptoms that the vast vast majority of break through cases have.

He's already had the virus and apparently still asymptomatic...why does it matter now?
Edit: and before some smart ass replies that doctors are encouraging those infected to still get vaccinated, thanks Captain Obvious, I'm aware.

As long as his arm is not the one keeping us below sec threshold, then I’m good (maybe just satisfied, not sure)

Assuming his health profile is normal, it’d be in his best interest to get vaccinated ASAP once he can. Or at least monitor his antibodies to gauge where he needs to be.

You don’t want this thing twice.

if he came out and said he only likes Miracle Whip, or was anti-Dukes, or has not ever tried Blue Plate, then that would be a big problem no doubt.....

Who the **** cares if he’s vaccinated or whether he supports it or not. There’s an entire athletic department and Professional medical Staff that is running that side of the house.

I can't remember which movie it was but a high ranking female politician did some pretty wild secks stuff in college. It all came out in the media. She refused to answer questions about it. Her reasoning was My personal life is no ones business.. If I answer their questions it means they had a right to ask them.

Because there's additional benefits to being vaccinated like less quarantine time

don’t give a damn if he’s vaccinated but if we start having more players quarantine compared to the teams above 85%, it’s on harsin imo.

Henny penny. You youngsters may not get this.

Like 10 days instead of 14. The answer is in front of you.

Agree with this 100%. This is not a problem until it is. You forfeit a game or key players quarantined it becomes an issue. I also can appreciate Harsin is walking a fine line.

Nothing “chicken little” about taking remedial measures to mitigate risk and perform at the highest level possible.

Perhaps you are the one not getting it.
We will see if we have forfeit a game or not. If not you are chicken little if so well whatever title you want to put on me
