Auburn commit Malik Autry was visited today by the Auburn coaching staff. That envoy included DJ Durkin and Hugh Freeze.

Notably absent was defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett, who is Autry's primary recruiter. Garrett interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars last week and speculation has been growing since then that Garrett is likely to coach in the NFL next season. Garrett rarely turns down an offer to visit Autry, so the timing of his absence today carries a lot of weight.

If Garrett leaves for the NFL, expect Auburn alum (and former Auburn assistant coach) Rodney Garner to get the first interview. He's currently coaching the Tennessee Vols' defensive line.
