I was an odd bird as a kid. I would rather spend time with my grandparents than with my friends. My paternal grandfather taught me to drive a tractor at the age of 10, and drive a truck the same year. My paternal grandmother loved when I’d help her in the garden, and there was little more I’d rather be doing. My maternal grandmother taught me how to sketch and paint. My maternal grandfather taught me how to love no matter what. I wake up sometimes and think they are still here. They absolutely are. Cheers to the ones that tried to make us great.
