We are now at rock bottom...once again. How could any one of us have expected anything better? We know this program all to well and how it reacts to very obvious situations. But, nobody really knows why this happens again and again. Yet, still, we can mostly see it coming.
The blame goes around the same as it always does. The pitchforks and the mob chants start and only two years removed from being at the highest point possible in terms of what happens on the field. Same cycle. Different players and coaches. The only constant is the AD so some believe he must be the reason for utter meltdown on the field.
Regardless of what all the theories are and will be, one thing is absolute. You simply can't compete without, at least, an adequate QB. You MUST have one that really does understand even just the most basic concepts of your offensive philosophy (see Nick Marshsll). JJ, God love him, is lost. He cannot operate without strings attached. Therefore, Auburn will not win a conference game with him in this role.
As the "great" Gus Malzahn said yesterday, all positions are being evaluated. That's actually not true at all. No time for that. It's the politically correct way for him to begin the process of killing his ego and removing JJ. He has no choice. If he doesn't attempt to make this situation better he's losing his job and Will Muschamp (if that hasn't already been self determined by Will himself).
