It’s pretty easy to envision the Dems if kamala loses with Shapiro, Whitmer, Moore, Newsome, Mayor Pete, etc but what will the R primary look like?
If trump doesn’t run (yes, it’s possible but very unlikely), who will trumpers turn to? Do people really see them turning to a Haley or Scott or Youngkin? I don’t see that. Vivek? Too brown for them. Cruz, Rubio? No. Desantis MIGHT just be despicable enough for them but they are pissed he challenged Trump. I will still say it’s him or somebody not mentioned. Vance might be blamed for losing to Kamala but if trump got behind him, 35% of the party would support him. It’s going to be a very divided party imo barring trumpers getting behind Desantis.
