Who is stopping you? Go for it.they are out in the open and sitting ducks
they are out in the open and sitting ducks
the truthWe could, but then what? What’s the end goal? How many more American lives do you want to commit to defend a place that after twenty years, still isn’t willing and/or capable to fight for itself?
I say that as someone who has been there twice. I’d be interested to hear the opinions of others that have as well.
What is the point? They have been there for 1,000 years and will be there another 1,000. The mission should have been kill Bin Ladin and GTFO. Pretending a western style democracy could take hold over there was a fools errand sponsored by the Military Industrial Complex.
not quite. Trump made it very clear we would pound them if they started open warfare again. but you are right. the afghan troops are afraid to fight. the taliban will kill their children and burn everyone in their village alive. the point of hitting them wouldn't be to stop them it would be to punish them and make it costly
that's just not true, not your fault it wasn't reported on your news sources
sorry wrong boardOK ... so you're telling me President Trump entered into a cease fire agreement with the Taliban in which he announced the withdrawal of ALL US troops, but also said "if you ever start open warfare again, we're going to bring all of these troops right back"?

My eye is on the Horn of Africa. And for those of us who relish our "Team America - World Police" role, I'm quite sure as I type this TPTB are identifying our next poor but strategically located, at least in theory, country to toss around a fortune in missiles and manpower. It's what we do.
Did you even read the link he posted?
If he posted a link I never saw it...but the version of events I describe is 100% accurate.
sorry bassman I posted this on the bunker if it gets moved I will comment but i try and follow the rulesIf he posted a link I never saw it...but the version of events I describe is 100% accurate.

thanks for the supportThat was the joke. There was no link. Just aler talking out his ass once again.
Alright, couple things here. We could degrade their ability and make it harder, you got that right. But, I don’t think you realize how pervasive the taliban are in Afghanistan. At this point, they’re spread out across the country and major cities. I’m not quite sure what you mean by “full arsenal” but air strikes alone aren’t going to “end them.” Don’t get me wrong, you’d kill a whole lot of those fvckers, but you’ll also be killing civilians, which I’m not cool with. All that’s besides the point, an air campaign would necessitate support in country, which means Americans would be at risk. There would be more casualties, it’s naive to think otherwise.to degrade their ability. we can do it with no loss of life. we can never win their we lack the will. we can make it hard for them to thrive. since you were there you know our capability , if we unleashed our full arsenal we could end them . we will never do that
thanks for reply but I need to stop thread . I meant to post on the pore board but screwed up.Alright, couple things here. We could degrade their ability and make it harder, you got that right. This. I understand people have the feels about women and children over there but they don't understand it's basically an alien race we're dealing with. Much like China. What is the point?
