$125 Million Contract Offer - NOT BAD FOR A CHEATER. I wonder how they will feel about the $125 contract offer after bammer smokes them?
The University of Michigan is reportedly going all-out to attempt to keep head coach Jim Harbaugh.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday morning that the Big Ten school has made Harbaugh a nine-figure offer to keep him in Ann Arbor.
Harbaugh has reportedly been offered a 10 year, $125 million contract by Michigan. However, the contract includes an NFL-related caveat.
“Sources say Harbaugh, whose current deal runs through 2026, received an offer from Michigan for a 10-year, $125-million contract extension that would make him one of the highest-paid coaches in college football,” Rapoport wrote. “Yet there is a caveat, and it’s NFL-related.
“If he signed the deal — which he has not yet done — Harbaugh would agree not to entertain or accept an NFL job for the 2024 season. The NFL clause would be one season only, but that’s apparently been enough to drag out the process.”
Harbaugh has been linked to some NFL jobs, though it's unclear if he's seriously considering leaving for the league.
Teams like the Chargers and Bears have been mentioned as possible landing spots for the former San Francisco 49ers head coach.
Michigan is currently getting ready for the College Football Playoff, where they will take on Alabama on New Year's Day.
