Our 4 hospital system (north of Atlanta) is saturated. Had around 100 pts boarded in the ER in our main hospital at one point. ER pts have been seen on ambulances due to lack of rooms. We’ve been nearly out to completely out of some of our high flow O2 equipment at times.
It’s the holiday surge that nearly buried us. The peak presentation time seems to be about 8-10 days after symptom onset, so I’m hopeful that it’ll settle out sometime early January.
Georgia world congress center just opened up to house some patients there. That’s in addition to the gym floor we’re using and the tents we have.
