So, I took on a new job and one of my responsibilities are to call investment funds to see if we can assist with their operations. Pretty much a glorified telemarketer. Well in 10 days of working here I got lucky and scheduled a meeting in Mobile with a company from the UK. Massive, massive company. Huge potential bonus for this poor young man. I thought my job was to hook the big fish and let my boss reel them in, but that is incorrect. I am leading the meeting and have spent 4 days rehearsing the presentation. Mind you I have been here for 16 days. Boss has really challenged me to do my best and it's been an experience. I feel like Vinny Chase in entourage when he got the smoke jumper role, and the director keeps making him restart. "I don't believe you! I need more! Restart!!" haha. I am very nervous, but I am also extremely thankful for the opportunity. I try to remind myself that 5 years ago I was working a dish pit making 60 dollars a day. I've always dreamt of being successful and promised my wife one day things would change. Well, I feel like the lord is finally saying "here you go bud. Knock yourself out".
