I am not the basketball guru like Jay and a few others here. However, there are a few take aways/facts from this game.
1. If you shoot <50% on FTs you will lose every time. Was particularly dissapointing as WK was WAY off on his last 5.
2. We have only one true PG on the roster. He didn’t play tonight. Wendell and KD are shooting gaurds only and that was obvious tonight. Bottom line is we will not win against good teams without Zep.
3. JS is a great talent but he has to drive to the rim more. Is a great FT shooter and you don’t get to the line with jump shots.
4. Bruce is to BB what Pat Dye was to football. The best PROGRAM leader yoy would ever want but average game day coach. I think his game day prep is fine but our player’s don’t play smart. It is an incredibly fine balance.
AND I will take Bruce every day. MAYBE need an Assistant who challenges him in game situations. It won’t be Steve.
