AU was #11 playing host to #2 UF. It was obviously a big game and would keep AU in the hunt for a SEC title, but it wasn't so unlike many other similar games in JHS between top 15 ranked teams. Yet this game was sooo damn loud and intense the entire game.
Even though AU red zone offense kept stalling in the first half, and we were settling for John Vaughn field goals, the crowd stayed 100% lit on every possession.
Down 17-11 late in the 3Q, the Quentin Groves 3rd down sack and the subsequent Tre Smith blocked punt return, were the 2 loudest moments I ever experienced at JHS.
What factors contributed to that being such a CRUNK ($1 to 2006) game?
