With each administration change from dem to repub and vise versa we go from doing one thing to undoing what has been done the last 4 or 8 years. Even in the interim we have half our people pulling on the opposite end of the rope with half of the people pissed off at all times. Contrast this with the Chinese who have a continuous plan moving in one direction. We end up stationary for the most part while they continue moving forward on their path.
layout a general set of ideals for each of the new nations and have people pick which new country they want to join. You could break it down into subcategories but for the sake of conversation we will say that we are going to break it down into 3. The republican states of America, the democratic states of America, and the black states of America. Each individual selects which he wants to join. Once you decide, you can’t change your mind unless the citizens from the country you want to switch over to vote to let you in. You can bet your ass that this would be one election that people would actually do their research for.
the Hollywood types and the deadbeats would presumably go dem. What about the Bezos types? I say that none of them would. The Bezos’ of the world would think “these deadbeats won’t have any money to buy my products. The Hollywood folks would think “I don’t want to pay for the deadbeats to sit at the crib and mooch off of me”. The deadbeats would think “I don’t want to be reliant upon other deadbeats to take care of me, I’ll starve to death ”.
each new country would be granted the percentage of farmland, beaches, areas with natural resources, etc that their voting block represents.
the African Americans would have a choice to go wherever they wanted and if they decided to go to either the dem or repub country would have made their own choice to do so which would eliminate their ability to use the past scourge of slavery as something to be held against their fellow citizens. If they wanted to join the black states they would more than likely no longer be a minority and could run things their way. When you consider what the slaves did to advance this nation with their back breaking work and the fact that they didn’t get their “40 acres and a mule”, they should be entitled to have the appropriate resources to make their own way.
potential issues that would have to be worked out would include:
- you might not be able to have real borders. The laws of each country would apply to the individuals of each country so your next door neighbor might have a different set of laws they must adhere to than you or you would have to have mass migration to group the people together.
