Here are the two "secret scrimmage" box scores for baylor
things that stand out to me
1.) Jakobe Walter can shoot
-dont care who you are. going 8/12 from 3 against zags + buzz defense is stellar. perimeter defense will be tough
2.) mostly smaller lineup
most minutes = Nunn (6'5) Walter (6'5) Dennis (6'2) Little (6'4) Bridges (6'7)
looks like a pure rotation at 5 between tchamwa, missi, ouiji and bridges with a lot of small ball in there
might be cause tchamwa had a lingering injury but bridges is your "stretch 4" 6'7 guy, played stretch 5 a lot it looks like vs zags. jwill should have a size advantage (slight one). broome is gonna need a big day cause thats our advantage in this one (matched up vs missa(very talented freshman)/oijanwuna(young int'l big)/tchamwa)
3.) most rebounds coming from guards
-typical for high volume 3 point shooting team. but vs zags it was still relatively low volume and a lot of rebounds from the back court. something ive been worried about with our team is guards not boxing out. kd and tre known to leak early, havent seen enough denver to know his tendancies, aden still a freshman. have to be disciplined here and help clean up boards
4.) theyre deep
10 guys in the rotation. we arent gonna be able to beat them 10v10 like bruce usually does early in the out of conference schedule games
5.) they foul a lot
we gotta take advantage of this thing right here. get some key players in foul trouble, driving down hill or going to broome
DISCLAIMER: all these assumptions are from 2 games i havent watched and teams i havent watched this season
SHOULD BE A FUN ONE LEGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
