Up there, in them trees.
1-Gotta make bama’s Offense pitch backward; loaded box and run pressures on 1st down. Make them have to throw in 1st and 10. Be willing to play cover 1 with the free defender bracketing Williams. The extra box safety has to be keyed on Milroe. Bama gets in spread 10 personnel to run the QB using the RB as the extra blocker. Can’t let that formation lighten the box, keep it crowded and force them to pass.

2-Stop the screen game. DBs have to be aggressive, defeat perimeter blocks, and tackle in the open field. The screen game is the 2nd most effective part of their offense behind the QB run game.

3- 10 points off take aways. If AU makes Milroe throw the intermediate ball frequently, he will give them chances to take it away. When they get then they have to turn into points.

4-Be diverse in offense alignments and personnel packages. Womack wants attack with exotic fronts and pressures; Expand the surface, trade the strength frequently, put them in position where their stunts aren’t gap sound. THEN BE EFFECTIVELY STUBBORN IN THE RUN GAME! Lawson is out and Cambell’s weakness at LB is being run at directly.

5- Win the penalty battle, bama has had trouble with on field discipline in big games. Play intense, but keep focus and emotions in check, and let them set theirselves behind the sticks.

Sooners gave a hell of a blueprint last week. If AU doesn’t beat AU, AU beats bama!
