You want to know what really grinds my gears? The American public who’s political party has become their identity. You know who I’m talking about. Everyone knows at least one person, usually more than one, that constantly is bashing/making fun of their opposing political party. He/she is always calling supporters of the other party morons, mouth breathers, mindless robots, etc. They send meme’s that belittle the other side constantly. They treat it like it’s their sports team and they support the Yankees and the other side is the red sox. It is who they have become. It is their religion.
With the war in Ukraine in the news now, it’s people like this that make me realize we’re lost as a society. These people are actively rooting for whatever the worst possible outcome is just so they can blame the current leader, even if that means horrible, unimaginable things might happen to innocent people. They would love to see the world burn just so they could point the finger and say “This is what happens when _____ is in charge instead of my guy that I support.” And if you’re thinking I’m saying this in support of Biden and the Democratic Party, you are part of the problem and the exact person I am describing. I know this goes both ways, if Trump was in office, all those die hard liberals would be rooting for him to fail, no matter the consequences.
The worst part about these people is they do absolutely nothing but complain about the other side with zero action that would actually help this country. They could never look at things through any other lens, other then that of CNN or FoxNews. If you REALLY are that PASSIONATE about your political views then you need to show some ACTION, other than sending funny memes.
Now, with that said. I’m sure there are some people who’s identity is extremely liberal or extremely conservative that act just like what I have describe above, but they actually take action to help their cause. These people are cool with me and I have no beef with you. It’s the people that don’t shut up about politics and donate $25 to their party once a year (so they think they’re helping) that I can’t stand.
It scares me to think what would happen if WW3 would happen. I don’t see this country coming together and supporting a common cause. We would probably bicker and complain, as our enemy defeats us. I hope and pray I’m wrong about that.
Unfortunately, these people are the most vocal, so they would be the “influencers to the next generation. If you are one of these people, please for the love of god….STFU. You don’t know what you’re talking about, you don’t understand there are two sides to every story, and you’re a moron. You’re too stupid to understand the complexities of running a successful powerhouse of a nation in 2022. It should not be your identity, so go get a hoppy and let that define you. Let more intelligent people debate the important topics.
