there were things in this game, that were just like "destiny" that we were NOT gonna win this game. to wit:

- CBM being a moron, and costing his team. We lost his probable 15+ points against these short white guys. He was THE mismatch of the game, IMO. A flagrant two "actually" called? That's highly unusual. Especially in the tourney.
- Our BEST FT shooters (80%+) missing 6 free throws in the last minute. Not normal at all.
- The refs CLEARLY were not used to a rough team like AU. They were a touch foul calling crew. Yale was so small and weak, that just basic hard touches that we are used to, just knocked them down, drawing the fouls. Plus, they had preconceived ideas about AU, and then CBM goes and reinforces it.
- Yale has a kid that averages 11 points a game and 2 3's a game, go off and hit 29 points. MANY while completely covered up. Unreal.
- Too many turnovers vs this "type" of team with few real athletes. Just didn't value the ball enough. That's not "normal" for us. Especially against a team with no length.

Omit ANY one of those items and we win. Unreal.

All in all, it was just a situation where everything bad that could happen, happened. Pearl MUST, REPEAT MUST, find us some damn 6'-3" shooting guards that are CONSISTENT 40% shooters. They are out there. Go get the MF's. Having to replace both 5's, the top 4, and two 3's, is gonna be a big deal to try to find elite players. We need 3 stars and then 3 top role players all from the portal. Not seeing anyone that fills those spots so far on the portal trail. Then add in another true frosh at PG. Ugly.
