… as Little Debbie, our 18 yr old miniature poodle, escaped her mortal coil to move on to her 2-story doghouse above!
She was caught outside during Hurricane Ivan whilst living in Conecuh County, yet somehow survived, in spite of weighing less than 12 pounds; she birthed at least 7 litters, and at least since my arrival in her life, nursed and loved them all and saw them given away to many loving families with a buncha happy young’uns! We kept one of her little girls, a beautiful gray miniature schnauzer/poodle mix named Lola.
She was our youngest daughter’s pet, who is currently a sophomore engineering student at Auburn and I’m just dreading having to tell her! Might hand that one off to her mom!
This is long, I know… but dadgummit Little Debbie deserved some ink for surviving over 18 years in what can be a cold and harsh world.
RIP in peace Little Debbie… you were one of the good ones!!
