I believe this is completely accurate. It makes so much sense. He was in this to market his personal brand, have a respectable finish, and have another means to promote himself. Another form of "reality" show. But a swath of the R voting base is too angry/stupid/desperate to get the con he's running. If it wasn't clear before, it certainly is after the extended interviews Drumph did with NYT and WaPo. He isn't even trying to learn anything about foreign policy or international affairs. He doesn't know what our current or past policy or objectives are; he doesn't know who our allies are or who other important world leaders are. He's really not even serious about the job or being qualified for it. It's all a cruel joke perpetrated by a con man. A barking dog who is about to catch the car and has no idea what to do after that.
