I was little down yesterday evening, bros.
There I was, the head coach of the 4-4 Tulsa Golden Showers, leading #14 USC 14-10 late in the 3rd quarter of a regionally televised defensive classic. We faced a 4th and 12 at the USC 44yd line. I felt I had the perfect call: a quarterback draw with 5 receivers split out wide. Tom Costello, of Brooklyn, NY, wasn’t exactly Woody Dantzler per say, but I’d recently watched some YouTube highlights of Greg Maddux change-up pitches and felt like I could catch them looking. Needless to say, the Trojans prevailed that night, 48-17, and a pall has been cast over the program that I increasingly feel can only be remedied with my resignation.
Coaching is hard, bros. Pray for Rhett. Pray for Mike. Pray for Jimbo. I’m learning quickly that we can’t all be Hew.
