I am as frustrated as anybody with the way the season ended, and the lack of recruiting success so far. We seem to have a good shot at some prospects still out there, so lets see how it ends. Having said that, Attitudes like this Anti-Harsin crowd are why Auburn has never been able to sustain success. We got too many people with this conflicted view of wanting the Coach to fail but cheering for the football team that they claim to love. Harsin has bigger balls than any coach we have had since Dye. That's a fact. He will be much harder to push around, and the guys who are in the Good Ol' Boy Network lose their influence. They would rather be in charge of 7-8 win program than be silenced while watching a 10-11 win program.
Harsin chose to come to Auburn at a time when our arch rival was at the height of their power. UAT had just fielded one of the best teams they have ever had. Support the man or we will end up with yet another coach that is just happy to be here: Malzahn had never had a big-time HC gig before. Chizik was 5-19 and had the rare opportunity to fail and move up. Tubs was coming off a 6-5 year and getting a better job. Bowden was coming up from coaching at FCS level.
