We're back for another season!

LIST OF AFFILIATES AND LINKS

PREDICTION:
Good first game. Now it's time to carry over progress from that game into this one. They say teams make the biggest improvement between games ONE and TWO, guise.

LEGENDARY WOMEN'S GOLF COACH MELISSA (McNAMARA) LUELLEN WILL BE THE FIRST GUEST. She played at Tulsa when I lived there; I was a big fan even though I loathe golf. I thought she was hotttt. My kind of gal. Tough. She was really, really, really good.

BRYAN HARSIN IS HERE (6:19 p.m.)

**He says his "family" is here. I know y'all are fired up. (There were many GUFFAWS as he talks about his girls questioning him about the team, the game, etc.)

Andy says he gets texts from his wife during the game. Harsin says he hasn't taken texts from his wife yet during a game. GUFFAWS ALL AROUND.

Not Andy goes for the Pulitzer and asks how the week of practice has gone. "This is what a real week looks like. We can't slow down. We've got to hit our marks. We've got some young guys ... who will have a chance to play a little bit more in this game. Hopefully ... we can build on that through the season."

Julie/Juli is in the house. She asks about BH's familiarity with SJSU. She notes that Boise lost to SJSU last time they faced off. Harsin blames Covid. "Their offensive coordinator is an excellent play-caller." Says they have a DE who is "draftable."

Andy asks about the SJSU QB. "This is a little bit more ... of a learning curve than he thought, coming into this offense. He can throw it. He can do some things with his legs. (FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK?) He'll get better at what he's doing ... and they'll get better with him."

Buster is in the house. He wants to know if the game looks faster on green grass of blue grass from Boise. "It's faster. The first game last year, being on the sideline and watching our guys play, how fast it was. That's the biggest difference. You probably see more in the Big West as far as concepts ... but the SEC ... speed eliminates competition. That's what it stands for."

Buster gets a second question because he acknowledges that he's a plant and he asks what Not Andy wants him to ask. BUSTED. He wants to know about SJSU giving up seven sacks last week. LOL. Buster wants to know how Auburn will take advantage of this poor OL. "We've got to tackle better when we get to the QB. This week, the scheme is a little different. It's drop-back. By bringing pressure ... those are going to be factor. If you're going to blitz ... you have to get there. You've got to land it."

"We believe in sacks. We believe sacks kill drives."

He notes that in the NFL, 85% of drives that include a sack don't yield points. Auburn doesn't play in the NFL.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Not Andy asks about Harsin "acting" in the Top Gun video Auburn Football put out recently on social media. He gives credit to Brad Larrando for the idea. "The lines were easy. I'd memorized some of those from watching that movie. The guys had fun with it. You're building some chemistry and camaraderie."

He gives credit to Auburn's Football Social team. "I think it's fun to be able to share some of those things."

Harsin drones on about their Hard Knocks-style show they run, "The Journey." I haven't seen it.

Andy keeps Harsin talking about the web show — likely as a promotional ploy. "As far as the attitude and the mentality and the concept of team, I feel like these guys are getting it."

Harsin said M'ba had Harsin on his shoulders the other night ... and he was scared. GUFFAWS ALL AROUND.

Not Andy asks about the M'Ba. "I just hugged him. I love him."

Herb is in the HOUSE. He wants to know about the flag on the muffed punt from Mercer. He thinks it was straight-up bullshit. "Number 1, after every game, the penalties, if they're questionable ... we went them into the office. We got a video response on that one. That doesn't help you in the game."

Harsin notes that Barton Lester left his feet, which put him in a tough spot there. "The bottom line there is that he was protected because he was in the pocket. Block it with your hands. You learn from that."

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Question about his podcast. "It goes back to what we do in fall camp — we hear the coaches' stories, hear the players' stories. We'll get back to that some point. Maybe we've got someone else on there as host other than me."

Andy asks about the SJSU. "If you take care of your business, the Xs and Os will be there. I want to see our guys play fast. This week, it's about fast and physical. Doesn't matter if we're playing San Jose State or the Los Angeles Rams, you want to play fast and physical."

That's it for Harsin.

He offers an understated (but firm) "War Eagle" on his way off the air.

BE GOOD. BE YOU.
