Mentioned yesterday that a buddy a mine played golf with GUS yesterday. Dude calls me about 7:00 last night and said it was the 3rd greatest day of his life. Didn't ask what the other 2 were. He's an Auburn fan but not a homer. He knows Gus about as well as I do. Basically just watching him do TV interviews.
He basically said GUS was the coolest dude in the history of the world yesterday. Totally different than his TV personality. said GUS was just talking up a storm the entire day. My buddy was afraid to ask him all the questions that I texted him to ask but he did have a few interesting things to say.
He said 2 names kept coming up the entire day----JEREMY and ROC. He believes both players have a chance to BLOW UP this season. He is very confident that some true freshman contribute this season.
I'm not about to say that JJ is a complete stud yet. Not my nature. I've only seen him play a couple of times. However, according to my buddy, it is very clear that this football staff believes he has an opportunity to be very SPECIAL quickly.
To top off the day, buddy I mine is about to leave and runs into freakin BRUCE. Said, just what we would think, that Bruce is the king of cool. I almost didn't believe my buddy, but he texted me about 8 pictures of him and Gus on the tee box and him and Bruce.
