Starting with A&M - Florida
I picked A&M to win the game regardless of the FLU going around the team based on the simple fact of I didn’t know which Anthony Richardson would show up. Crazy stat, A&M hasn’t scored more than 30 on a FBS team since last Halloween. First 5 game losing streak since 1980 for A&M and couldn’t happen to a better bunch of weird rich people.
Kentucky - Missouri
Ol Mark Stoops got pretty lucky with the lame penalty of touching the punter while he’s scrambling to get the ball and kick it away. He’s behind Matt Rhule for me as far as replacement coaches go for Auburn. Coach Drink got a two year extension and then went out and lost. They’ve recruiting pretty decent and things should be better in the next years. But maybe that still won’t be enough to crack the top 3 in the East.
Georgia - Tennessee
Maybe I shouldn’t have let me bias get to me and pick Tennessee to win the game. I hate Georgia. Georgia has won 33/34 home games and made Tennessee look like a mediocre team. Still amazes me how Stetson Bennet is the QB that he is. Can anyone stop Georgia from repeating? I hope so. Tennessee now has a chance to sneak into the playoffs much like Alabama did in 2017.
Liberty - Arkansas
Didn’t watch the game live but followed closely and watched the highlights. Hats off to Freeze but it’s still mind boggling how Arkansas dominates us a week ago and then turns around and scores 19 on Liberty. After the game Hugh lobbied for the Auburn job once again and I wouldn’t be mad at all if he got it. Also, Sam Pittman is perfect for Arkansas. Mediocre.
LSU - Alabama
A team that has grown each week it seems in LSU. Don’t know the reasoning behind Alabama looking inferior compared to the last 15 years of the Saban era but it’s cool to see. I’d love to be in a position of having more than 2 losses before the Iron Bowl for the first time since 2010. Crowd was electric for LSU and Kelly has an awesome product to sell with resume wins. Things could get interesting for Atlanta.
Mississippi State - Auburn
Was at a wedding for the first half and I obviously didn’t miss much. Credit to the staff on a short notice of a week to step up into positions they didn’t plan on a week ago. Love seeing the enthusiasm on the sideline as me and my wife were screaming as Hunter crosses the goal line with a little more than a minute to go. Felt like I was watching the FSU game all over again with how much draw the game had pulled me in after being in such a lull for the last year. War Eagle to that I guess.
USC - Vandy
Who cares. Auburn plays at Vandy next season so hopefully we can take the series lead back against the commodores…..
