POVs like this one are basically just one of two things... A desire to return to a 'better time' (in this case for example the 1950s) which were only better for one group... or to maintain the status quo, which a certain group benefits from.
It's not feasible when things are broken.
Also not sure we should take advice from someone who thinks its OK to marry 13 year olds and have said in public that the Jim Crow South wasn't bad for African Americans.

..he's talking about Jesus's teachings, whether you believe them or not..2000+ years ago, not the 1950s. Leave it to you to completely misconstrue this entire point. IF everyone loved one another, there would be no violence, period.

Each side has some filled with anger. Not that anger is all bad, but when is expressed by abuse, disrespect, destruction, and violence, then it is very bad.

Yep just love each other and get along even if your beliefs are different. Sadly too many people don't understand that.
Exactly, but on the flip side of this all of us are human and we all sin..we should strive to love everyone, but we all fail to do so at some point in our lives whether it's neighbor, friend, spouse, family, etc. Most religions are formed off of this basic principle, not just Christianity.
