I've seen a couple of stories insinuate that there were supposed to be multiple attacks that day. I'm guessing that is what the FBI is looking into as they talk about the scope of their investigation broadening.
But here is what is not being discussed much, and that is the fact that most of the witnesses continue to insist that there were three shooters. Not only that, but they say that it was three males.
So putting the pieces together, could it be that Farook and his wife were not even the ones involved in the shooting, but were supposed to carry out another attack elsewhere. It has already been reported that he had lots of photos in his camera of several schools in the area. And there were also reports of Middle Eastern men taking photos of a movie theater in the area.
The shooters could still be at large if this is true.
