So, upon recommendation from @fntiger @Docdumpsta and a few others, I decided to occupy an hour or so of my Wednesday night by taking this flick in.
Jake Gyllenhaal should be ashamed for his association to this abomination. He likely set his career back a few years with this one. The acting in general was sophomoric and the writing was unimaginative, lacked creativity and in some cases used identical lines found in the original movie.
VERDICT: if you enjoyed this cinematic abortion, then your taste in movies is childlike, and you probably prefer your choice steaks medium to well done(and sirloin cuts at that). I dont have many years left on this mortal earth, and unfortunately I wont get this 2 hours back as a refund from life. I think @Docdumpsta should be fvckin ashamed of himself for recommending this shit and he needs to make this right. First, you need to pay for my streaming sub for a year. Then, you should have to drink a quart of magnesium citrate daily for a month til your shitting pure stomach acid. You pick movies like you do pre-season Heisman winners. I love you, Doc. But, I dont want to hear from you for at least a few days til I cool off.
