The Colorado fans. They looked so impotent when the Buffs were behind, just shocked and powerless, like they were willing to roll over and take it. I expected to see them dabbing away tears throughout the fourth quarter.

It reminded me of what got on my nerves about going to Auburn games with my father. He would just sit there, rarely had any insight or showed any enthusiasm except to occasionally scream criticisms of the Auburn coaches or the referees or players. The last game I attended with him, the Prayer in Jordan-Hare, I exhausted myself trying to make as much noise as possible for the defense while wearing portable oxygen, yet Dad sat there nearly silent except when he had something negative to say.
