Only the idiots in this board’s circle jerk and similar uninformed, irrational morons do.
which “we got him“ number is this for these guys? seriously has anybody kept count? Absolutely epic to see their myths destroyed right before their faces and they desperately latch onto another one. Then they yell and whine about how wrong everybody else is...
AMERICA IS UNITED OVER ONE ISSUE…
by Kevin Ryan
In an era in which everything seems to divide us, Americans this week have found something they all agree on.
Nobody likes John Bolton.
Shortly after excerpts leaked from the former National Security Advisor’s tell-all book mocking President Trump, the media began asking politicians to comment on it. Here’s what they had to say.
DEMOCRATS
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA): “The fact that he wasn’t willing to testify in the House and was willing to tie us up in court for a long time, but willing to tell the story to a book, to make money for a book, tells you a lot about John Bolton’s character… Bolton may be an author, but he’s no patriot.”
Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA): “He [refused to testify] to maximize book sales. He felt like if he gave away information before, it would hurt his book sales.”
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA): “I don’t want to pay money for a book that was a substitute for testifying before Congress about the well-being of the American people.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY): “He sold out the national interest for his personal political interest.”
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH): Bolton “cares more about his book than he did public service.”
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT): Bolton is “obviously interested in making money, not saving the republic.”
Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE): “Bolton himself says if the Democrats just asked the right questions the impeachment might have turned differently. Mr. Bolton, why didn’t you come forward and testify to this effect while we were conducting an impeachment trial?”
REPUBLICANS
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC): Said he finds it hard to take anyone seriously who “claims to have witnessed treason and obstruction of justice, and tells about it in a book.”
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC): “For the first time in my 14-year political career I agree with Adam Schiff. I got a long reading list ahead of me, and [Bolton’s book] is not going to go to the top of the stack.”
Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN): “He is a guy that obviously is jilted.”
Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY): “Every meeting I’ve been in with John Bolton, he views himself as the smartest person in the room. He thinks he should be president, speaker of the House and chief justice of the Supreme Court all at the same time.”
Sen. James Lankford (R-OK): About the timing of Bolton’s book and his credibility: “Nothing about that smells right. The House is frustrated by it, we are frustrated about it.”
Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND): Bolton is “somebody who thought he was being hired to be the commander in chief, and he wasn’t.”
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA): “Money drives a lot of people to say a lot of things. We’ve watched people before make lies about the president.”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo: “It is both sad and dangerous that John Bolton’s final public role is that of a traitor who damaged America by violating his sacred trust with its people.”
President Trump: “Bolton’s book, which is getting terrible reviews, is a compilation of lies and made up stories, all intended to make me look bad. Many of the ridiculous statements he attributes to me were never made, pure fiction. Just trying to get even for firing him like the sick puppy he is!”
Of course, none of the above has stopped the media from talking about the book relentlessly. Pre-orders have made it the current number one best seller on Amazon.
