6 seasons of offense just brutally sucking, even when we had a Heisman candidate that is now out in Oregon. Really, it’s been 7 out of the last 9 season of lousy offense and that’s being generous.
Defenses that were SEC championship quality, wasted.
I wasn’t expecting for Auburn to compete for the SEC this year, but I did expect PROGRESS. This looks like a Gus team all over. Same thing every week, doing the same old things that didn’t work before, but we keep doing it again anyway.
Have we ran a 3 yard crossing pattern, a quick hitch or slant just to get the ball in our WR’s hands? Every pattern seems to be 15 yards downfield even though we don’t have an QB that can throw 10 yards downfield. Every college team seems to be able to do that, why does it look so hard for us to run basic plays?
