Most of us paying attention recognized that college basketball was a sport only the north east truly cared about. Regular season ratings are abysmal for a sport propped up by the first rd of the tournament when casual fans actually watch. HOF coaches retiring, parity allowing for scrub programs to catch blue bloods, the transfer portal eliminating a teams identity , emergence of the G league and poorly officiated three point shooting contests have yielded a product that’s unwatchable for 95%+ of the population.

The product is on life support at this point and there’s not much that can be done to save it.
