Let’s face it. Gus runs the offense. Having someone who isn’t an elite of the elite recruiter in that position is a waste. But it matters not if they have any playcalling experience
Here’s how we make it work
1) Fire Larry Porter. Coverage teams suck ass and we don’t have tight ends. Hasn’t blown away in recruiting. Past his prime
2) Move Kodi to TE/ST coach. Imagine trying to recruit wide receivers in this offense. Kodi has done a good to great job all things considered. That’s all WR coaches do anyway. You can’t develop hands and route running typically depends on how the offensive coordinator asks his receivers to run them. Kodi can moonlight and help recruit other positions
3) Dell is Offensive Co/WR Coach. One of the best recruiters ever. Gives him a title and let’s him be our bird dog
4) Hire a legit QB coach as a Co/OC
No reason to waste that spot with a Bentley, Dearmon, or Morris
They won’t get to call plays so why even bother
