The declining birth rate in the US. 20% drop starting in 2007. It continues to fall. The people born in 2007 are now able to work at 16. The problem is going to get worse if we don’t start being smarter with our immigration. Increasing immigration is the only way to solve the problem as the declining birth rate isn’t going to reverse and it probably keeps going down.
Fareed Zakaria has a cnn special tonight at 8 pm EST/ 7 pm Central. On preview, it said the three solutions are increasing the birth rate and nobody thinks that’s going up or increasing immigration or we have stagflation. The stagflation is the most likely imo as I don’t think the parties can function enough to increase legal immigration. Trump cut it when he was in office. “We are full.” he said. Decent gdp growth will cease to exist and inflation will rise again as wages will keep rising but won’t outpace inflation.
