Brother Hugh is in Tier 3 the "very good group"

Hugh Freeze won 10 games at Arkansas State in 2011, after the Red Wolves hadn’t even had a winning season in the previous 15 years. He took over an Ole Miss program that had bottomed out under Houston Nutt, beat Nick Saban twice and won a bunch of games, finishing in the top 10 for the first time since 1969. Then, after his messy exit in Oxford, he got Liberty into the top 20 by his second season, when the Flames finished 10-1. Freeze went 34-15 in four years there. I bet he gets Auburn back in the top 20 within two years.

our buddy Lane Kiffin is in Tier 4

Lane Kiffin has evolved as a head coach and is a lot different and better than when he was in charge at Tennessee and USC, but one thing that I think is tough when it comes to ranking him among the top 20 or 25 coaches in the FBS is this: In 11 seasons as a head coach, Kiffin has had only three wins over teams that finished in the Top 25.
