Well boys I’m on the road and in the hotel room in Austin. Today I hit up Bodacious BBQ in Longview, swung by Waco for Magnolia Bakery (for the wife) and finished off the day at Millers Smokehouse in Beldon. Both stops had really good turkey ribs and brisket. Millers had the best brisket but may be due to it being Prime. Both stops the sides were not very good but not surprising since Central TX BBQ doesn’t believe in sides. Tomorrow at 6 am I will be in line at Franklin’s BBQ for the mother of all central TX bites, Beef Ribs. Then from there I head to San Antonio then back through Lockhart and on to north Dallas. Trying to pick up some tricks to dial in Reed’s Barbecue in central AR. Please let me know of some great stops along the way.
