Jimbo Fisher is the coach at Texas A&M.

I do not like Fisher as a person or as a coach.

*******

Q what will this offense looks like with Petrino. "I'm not going to get into schematics, four-wide. We'll have a good plan and we'll get the ball to right guys, the right play-makers ... and let them play."

Q on if he feels added pressure since they sucked last season. "As a coach, we live under pressure every day. We put more pressure on ourselves than anybody out there ever puts on us. There's no added pressure. Does worrying make you better? No. What you need to get is solutions."

Q on his thoughts on playing Texas much more often. "I think it's great for college football. I think it's great for Texas and for Texas A&M."

Q on having several former head coaches on his staff, blending personalities in a volatile situation. "Why would it be a volatile situation? Have you ever been in any staff room that doesn't have arguments or disagreements? I'm the boss. Everyone can voice their opinion. I want guys to create different narratives that they can bring to the table. That's some of the reasons you hire them. We haven't had any issues."

Q on an assistant coach. (Meh.)

Q on Bobby Petrino being an assistant after 20 years as a head coach. Can he call plays? "I'm not going to get into what we're doing, how we're going to do it. I'm not trying to avoid anything. He's a tremendous coach, a tremendous guy and a tremendous football mind and a tremendous recruiter. He'll call a lot of ... hopefully, he'll call the games. It's a more collective thing that people want to give it room for."

Q on their tailback room. (Meh.)

Q on tampering in recruiting. "If people tampered, they have to be caught. But again, it goes back to you have to prove those things, too. It can't just be allegations and rumors. If you catch 'em, you've got to punish them and punish them severely."

(Guys, I just can't. Jimbo is against allegations and rumors?)

Q about one of his young QBs. (Meh.)

Q about on missing center Bryce Foster last season. (Meh.)

Q about some of his young guys. (Meh.)

Q on their NIL collective. "I don't know; that's not in my repertoire. I'm just navigating by the rules they give me."

Q on his fight with Saban and his recruiting. Jimbo ignores the Saban angle, says A&M recruits the guys they like and don't pay attention to anyone else's rankings of HS/portal/JUCO players.

Q on one of their QBs. (Meh.)

Q about why this team won't underachieve like last season. Fisher says it's up to the players. "Coaches can want all they want; players have got manage the team and run it on a day-to-day basis. I love the leadership of our football team. If those (leaders) can lead and do, I think that's the difference in your great teams and your average teams."

Q on a stretch of tough games that starts with Auburn. "First thing is conditioning and mentally tough. Then the way we practice during the fall. Control what you control is not just a cliche'; it's a fact."

Q on Cam Coleman, dude doesn't know rules about recruits. Jimbo can't comment on that. Duh.

Q on their why their OL will be better this year. "Their healthy, experience, leadership of the group and the failures they had ... be quiet, shut up and go play."
